A Word in your Shell like

The local Shell garage down the road is closing; the site will be used for more luxury flats. (If there's something we're not short of in Teddington - it's luxury flats)

There's another Shell station about 2 miles away that's been ripped apart with a comforting, if optimistic, sign reading: "Open 22nd December"

All I can say is, I want Shell's builder's phone number, because they must be very good - and fast.

But I digress. Is the petrol station (I mean all petrol stations here - that not only 10 years ago was starting replace the corner shop) about to become the citizen of Edge City, the outskirts, the light industrial estate?

It's like that in Mexico; where I once ran out of petrol - but that's another story.

Are we readied for the end of fossil fuels? Where the garage is replaced by charging points.

The point may be moot already.
